My review:
I ordered this tablet/smartphone stand for my son's 8" tablet. My sons loves it! It's just what he wanted and looks just as pictured. The Aleratec Tablet/Smartphone stand works excellently with the my son's tablet. Plus being as it is an universal holder it also works with all of his other devices. He uses it daily and hasn't had any complaints thus far. It is very easy to assemble and set up. No tools are needed to assemble this stand unless you're going to mount it to a wall or desk then you will need a power drill. The adjustable stand allows the tablet or smartphone to be positioned forward, pushed backwards, be pivoted 360-degrees, and tilted to various angles. It is easy to insert tablet/smartphone just press the release button on the side and the holder will expand. The holder also has padded grips that will protect your tablet or smartphone from scratches while securely holding it in place. The stand uses gel suction cups that are really strong and adheres firmly to any smooth surface and some textured surfaces as well. It has two easy to use lock down levers that help create the suction. Just lift the lock down lever arm on the base up, press the suction cup against a flat surface, and depress the lever back down. It will create a solid and secure suction against the surface. The suction cups feel very sticky but when you remove them there is no damage to the surface and it leaves no residue. The only draw back with this product is we would prefer if the plastic was a little more heavy duty but it doesn't seem like something that'll break if you drop it on a hard floor none the less it's functional and performs as advertised. Another win with this product is the superb customer service from the seller. I had an issue with my unit so I contacted Aleratec via email and received a very prompt reply letting me know that they were going to ship a replacement out to me immediately. They are definitely a company that stands behind their products and that will do their very best to ensure their customers are satisfied. All in all, my son is happy with his tablet stand. I think if you're looking for an easy-to-use mount/stand that will keep your smartphone or tablet accessible and secured, this is a good one to try.
