My review:

This lantern is nice. The lantern is compact,rugged, bright, solid, durable and functional.  The maximum, 300-Lumen, brightness level can illuminate a 12' X 15' room very well  and the lower brightness level is more than ample for most activities that you could possibly want from a battery operated lantern. Its so much safer than gas lanterns, I don't have to worry about fuel fumes or fire in the tent and no more burning my hands trying to pump air into a lantern. I also don't have to worry about the kids bumping into it, knocking it over and breaking it or burning their hands on the glass. I would rate this four stars because of the battery installation process. Screwing the base on to install batteries is a little difficult and it gets annoying until you get the hang of it but once you do its pretty easy you just have to get it lined up correctly at the start. Overall I highly recommend it for all disaster preparedness kits in addition to campsite lighting needs.
