The durable OrJoe Conical Ceramic Burr grinder provides consistent uniform grinding of roasted coffee beans.

The top side covered hopper holds up to 3/4 cup (6 oz.) of roasted coffee beans.

A full hopper takes about 3 minutes to hand crank a coarse grind that results in approx. 1 cup (8oz. or 226 grams) of coarse coffee grindings suitable for French Press style brewing of up to four 12oz. mugs of coffee.

The grinder arrives set to fine grind (which takes longer to hand crank grind than medium or coarse). Adjusting the grinding level from fine to medium or coarse is easy to achieve by turning the grind adjustment nut counter-clockwise (to the left) 4 or 5 times.The grind adjustment nut is at the top of the grinder (located just under the handle).

Notes:
• The ceramic conical burrs are designed to cut/grind clockwise.Always turn the crank handle clockwise (to the right) for proper grinding operation!
• All parts can be washed (top rack dishwasher safe).
• The metal parts are stainless steel and will not rust.
• The clear glass basin provides easy viewing of freshly made grindings and has a handy screw on lid for storage.
• Easy to turn hand crank handle can be removed for storage.

This manual coffee grinder is a simple and effective way to get delicious fresh ground coffee, perfect for travelers or the home brewer who doesn't want to invest in an electric grinder. It is small, lightweight, well built, portable, and simple to use. I use this grinder for a French press, so I needed a course setting.The adjustments were a little tricky, but after playing around with it it's exceptionally easy to do.It takes a few minutes to grind each morning but it is worth it for the great improvement in the quality of the coffee and the way the burrs work to release the coffee bean aroma makes the process nice as well.This grinder is easy to clean,provides a consistent grind, is small enough to travel with, and it feels like it will last a long time.
