This is a nice digital thermometer for the price. It is a replacement for my old one that stopped working. I needed a reliable thermometer for cooking/grilling meats and this item does the job very well. It's so much faster than the dial thermometers. Everything comes out perfectly delicious with no guesswork needed. It's very accurate and easy to read.The probe is easy to position and is very sharp and thin so the meat isn't left with a large noticeable puncture hole. This also comes with the battery already installed in it, which is nice so it is ready to go right out of the package. It also has an auto shut-off feature which is nice to conserve battery life. All in all it's a very nice addition to my kitchen. I have no complaints this does everything I needed it to do.
