My review:
I was very happy to receive this alarm clock since my previous one was on it's last legs. It had become a major endeavor to change the time, which always ended with me slapping and banging on it. So the idea of having an alarm that actually works was quite appealing. This is a nice all around basic alarm clock. It's good for someone that wants a dependable, minimalist, and easy to use alarm clock that doesn't take up a lot of space. The alarm clock is well designed and has all the features a person would want in a daily use alarm clock. The clock features a large screen display with a nice red on black LED display making it easy to read from anywhere in the room. The simple adjustable dimmer enables you to set the display to a brighter setting in daytime and softer one at night. You can also set up to two alarms, I think this is a great feature, many families run on different schedules, with one person getting up at lets say 5AM, and another at 9AM. This clock by DreamSky can handle this. The alarms are easy to disable if you decide to sleep in. All you have to do is press any button other than snooze to disable the alarm. Once pressed the alarm will reset until the next day. The clock has a built in digital Am/FM radio that includes memory for up to 20 preset stations. AM/FM radio is easy to tune and the speaker quality is acceptable. On the bottom of the clock is a backup battery compartment that holds 2 AAA batteries that is used to store the alarm settings in the event of a power outage. I wanted to see what would happen to the clock when the power was cut off, either from a power outage or storm. I unplugged the clock and waited half an hour and plugged it back in. The clock immediately reset itself to the correct time and date, and all of my settings were saved. So that feature does work. All in all, the DreamSky alarm clock radio is a decent well made alarm clock with helpful features.
